A FEEL GOOD COMEDY BY SHIRL HENDRYX
PRODUCED BY SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT WITH SAMUEL FRENCH, INC.

Spinster sisters, Margaret and Sarah, feel terribly guilty about neglecting their Jane Austen book club meetings to
sneak peeks at the boxing matches on their newly-acquired Cable TV service. But not guilty enough to
stop. And when they discover that the drifter who suddenly shows up at their door was once a fighter, the
old girls jump at the chance to get him back in trim and into the ring. Is he the real thing? Or
a con artist looking for easy street? Charming and funny, a homemade custard pie of a show ... sweet and
satisfying with just a dash of spice!

Margaret Stevenson: A proper, small-town, church-going lady, Margaret used to spend her time gardening and attending church functions … until she began to watch boxing on television. (Age: 60-75) |
| |
Sarah Stevenson: Also proper, but a bit more whimsical, Sarah is Margaret’s younger sister. (Age: 55-70) |

Mildred: Attractive, with a bit of big city polish, Mildred is Margaret and Sarah’s niece. She loves her aunts and used to live with them. (Age: 25-35) |
| |
Harry Greer: A down-on-his-luck boxer, with a scrawny, yet somewhat athletic build, Harry is often glib and accustomed to talking his way out of predicaments. (Age: 25-35) |
| |
Reverend Henderson: Rev. Henderson is the warm and caring local minister. (This role is written as a man, but could also be played as a woman. Rev. Henderson is in one scene.) (Age: 40+) |
