When romance blossoms during a labor dispute at the Sleep-Tite Pajama Factory between Babe, a union committee
head, and Sid, the factory superintendent, love becomes an enjoyably negotiable issue. Songs include
Steam Heat, Hey There and Hernando's Hideaway. This crowd-pleasing romantic comedy
and critic's favorite won a Tony Award for Best Musical when it debuted in 1955 and won another in 2006 for Best
Revival of a Musical.
