A Broadway hit first produced on the West End under the title Gaslight and filmed twice, the story focuses on Jack and Bella Manningham, a seemingly normal couple, living in their London house on Angel Street. The audience soon catches on, however, to a more sinister husband using his suave moves to drive his wife to the brink of insanity. Fortunately, Inspector Rough takes an interest in the affairs of the house where he believes a murder occurred 15 years ago. Through the twist and turns of this Victorian thriller, Bella and Rough begin gathering evidence against none other than her sadistic husband, Jack. Did he do it? Is she really crazy?
