Dear Oyster Mill Playhouse Supporters:
We are so excited to bring you our 2021 season! This year, we are focusing on providing you the magic of theatre from the comfort and safety of your own home.
With no further delay, we present our 2021 Season “Together.”
An emotionally powerful and intimate musical about two New Yorkers in their twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years, the show’s unconventional structure consists of Cathy, the woman, telling her story backwards while Jamie, the man, tells his story chronologically; the two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show.
Directed by Ryan Dean Schoening
It’s about one moment. It’s about hitting the wall and having to make a choice, or take a stand, or turn around and go back. This contemporary song cycle weaves characters and history together, illuminating the timelessness of self-discovery filled with powerful songs examining life, love, and the choices we make.
Directed by Stephen FJ Martin
Having recently demolished another car, Daisy Werthan, a rich, sharp-tongued Jewish widow, is informed by her son, Boolie, that she must rely on the services of a chauffeur. The person he hires for the job is a thoughtful, unemployed Black man, Hoke. The play spans 25 years and the two characters, despite their mutual differences, grow ever closer to, and more dependent on, each other.
Directed by Aliza Bardfield
